Major version history
- January 20th, 2025: v0.5.1. Fixed the most pressing issues
- Sprites should no longer "bleed" extra pixels on their borders.
- You can no longer repeat elite battles without buying a specific perk.
- Fixed an issue where NPCs would get stuck on certain item displays.
- January 17th, 2025: checkpoint #5. Changes since checkpoint #4 (specific patch notes removed since they cluttered this page):
- Revamped quests and player skills
- Quests are now offered at the Tavern, not at shops.
- Quests no longer give you "skelle points"; all of those benefits are now in the Town Hall and cost gold rather than points.
- Quests also no longer upgrade your shops; that is also done through spending gold at the shop itself.
- Quests instead give you permanent stat boosts for all of your adventurers.
- Revamped the Enchanter. It used to let you disenchant items for buffs in battle. It now lets you cast spells that affect your town.
- Revamped how you start a battle. It used to be a somewhat basic list of locations you could go to, and now there's a fully fledged battle map with much more information (and ease of use!).
- Revamped adventurer levels. You used to pay money to level them up individually. Now, defeating elite monsters for the first time will level all of them up at once.
- Added the Garbage Slime, a cute companion who'll eat items in exchange for gold.
- Added a hint system for if you're struggling to defeat elite monsters.
- UI
- Dialogs are now in the same spot on the screen instead of being affected by the camera.
- Consolidated any actions you can take onto the main menu. You used to have to look around the town for signs or hunt through sub-menus to figure out which actions you could take.
- Added auto-saving.
- General improvements: more animations, sounds, polish, added a second music track, etc. There was a lot of focus put on the new-player experience to bring clarity to what's happening in the game.
- November 22nd, 2024: checkpoint #4.
- September 27th, 2024: checkpoint #3.
- July 26th, 2024: checkpoint #2.
- May 17th, 2024: checkpoint #1.
