Major version history
- November 22nd, 2024: checkpoint #4. Changes since checkpoint #3 (specific patch notes removed since they cluttered this page):
- Made the warehouse worthwhile (it used to be called the storeroom).
- Items you get from battles now go directly to the warehouse if there's space.
- Item holders are created at the bottom of the warehouse so that your workers don't have to travel as far.
- You unlock several item holders at once rather than one at a time.
- Added the enchanter. This allows you to disenchant items for buffs.
- Added the vault. This contains item holders that only you can manage, not workers. This is intended to be used in conjunction with the enchanter.
- Added a title screen.
- Revamped adventurer skills.
- Each class now has seven skills (up from four) that you can put points into.
- Skills only unlock after spending a certain number of points.
- You get fewer skill points (6 instead of 9). As a result, skills are more impactful (e.g. a skill might be "+12.5% crit" instead of "+5%").
- Skills can now add active abilities (e.g. the Mage can unlock Ice Blast and the Archer can unlock Quick Shot).
- Added elite monsters.
- This is the main way of putting challenging fights into the game. It's also a way of gating progress. There are only two elite monsters right now, but there should be ~6 by the time the game is launched.
- Changed how progression works.
- You used to be able to train adventurers to level 10 as long as you had the money. Now, the max rank is 2 and goes up by one for each elite monster that you beat. Note that for v0.4 specifically, the second elite monster bumps it to 7 immediately so that you can test things out and have fun.
- Revamped the UI styling.
- Added several game settings.
- Added the Town Hall.
- This contains upgrades for customers. These upgrades cost money rather than skill points and are unlocked forever.
- Changed customer behavior.
- They no longer zip all over the place buying every single item in sight. They now walk more slowly, idle occasionally, and sometimes want specific items (for which they're willing to pay more!).
- Added sound effects.
- These don't exist for everything just yet. If battle sounds are annoying, click "Show all sound controls" in the settings menu and turn them down specifically.
- Added the Garbage Slime. This is a way for you to scrap items that you don't want for 10% of their normal value.
- September 27th, 2024: checkpoint #3. Changes since checkpoint #2:
- July 26th, 2024: checkpoint #2.
- May 17th, 2024: checkpoint #1.
